The Manufacturing Technician at LuxWall, Inc. plays a crucial role in the production of innovative glass products, specifically focusing on the company's transparent insulation technology, Enthermal. This technology is designed to significantly enhance energy performance in buildings by minimizing heat gain and loss, thereby contributing to sustainability efforts aimed at reducing global carbon emissions. The Manufacturing Technician will operate and maintain production machinery in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely while adhering to established production standards and procedures. In this role, the technician will be responsible for recording data and utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis to monitor process control. They will conduct quality checks and input data into the Quality System to maintain efficient operations. The technician will also set up and adjust equipment settings to meet production specifications, navigate Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens, and troubleshoot automated equipment. Regular inspections and quality checks will be part of the daily routine to ensure that work-in-progress (WIP) and final products meet quality standards. The technician will collaborate with Maintenance Technicians, Process Engineers, and Control Engineers to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or operational issues promptly. Routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, will be essential to keep machinery in optimal condition. The technician will also be expected to record production data and maintenance logs accurately, follow work instructions, and adhere to safety policies. Opportunities for process improvement will be encouraged, and participation in training programs will be necessary to enhance skills and knowledge related to equipment operation and safety procedures. The position requires a proactive approach to learning and adapting in a high-velocity environment, enabling the technician to operate multiple machine types effectively.
