About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. The Manufacturing Technician will join an exceptional cross-functional team of engineers and technicians to fabricate components and assemble them into the most advanced solid rocket systems in the world. Aerojet-Rocketdyne is an industry leading supplier of missile components to the government for use in national defense. This is an entry-level position for mixing and processing of energetics for casting. The position will involve functions such as cleaning and assembling equipment, cleaning tools, parts, and work area and operate machinery. They will record and maintain records for manufactured products. Must work safely while producing a high quality product and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Works under close supervision and receives detailed instructions, the Manufacturing Technician 1 performs routine and repetitive duties within the manufacturing operations area. Apply general manufacturing knowledge to basic problems to come up with logical answers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years prior experience, or 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Full scale propellant mixing - Prepares materials and performs full-scale mixing for all production programs, confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations.
• Perform mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, to create acceptable mixes for casting, and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets.
• Assemble grinders and grind materials for full-scale propellant mixes and weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing.
• Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble full-scale grinding equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing Prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives and schedules.
