The Manufacturing Technician position reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and the responsibilities are diverse and moderately complex. The Manufacturing Technician position will fall within the area of optical coating. Selected individual must be highly motivated to provide a quality product to our customers and flexible in daily tasks to complete a myriad of functions within the press and finishing areas. VIAVI empowers Service Providers and IT organizations to manage the network lifecycle for complex 5G and Fiber networks with intuitive instruments, systems and technologies; and our expertise in light management and optical coatings help protect the world's bank notes from counterfeiters, enhance the colors you see, and enable advanced technology such as 3D sensing. Requirements
- Ideally, you would have coating or manufacturing experience, a high level of mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, familiarity with production lines and basic computer skills.
- This position requires the person to be detailed oriented, work with optics, and have the ability to exercise judgment in a production environment.
- Physically the incumbent must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, and must have good color acuity.
- GED or High school diploma required

Responsibilities
- Prepare all tooling and materials for orders
- Test and document coated product for adherence to standard
- Inspect and use proper packaging for material in various states of completion
