About The Position

In this role, you will be working with molding and demolding of shell blocks for core manufacturing. This role contains tasks that can include liner cleaning and preparation, liner block assembly and transfer to ovens, operation of molding block vibration/vacuum chambers and operation of induction slurry heating and mixing equipment. All molding tasks must be completed according to production specifications to produce parts of exceptional quality in the Gibsonton Florida Location.

Requirements

  • Evidence of a completed High School or GED is required.
  • Ability to read Engineering instructions.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

  • Trained and signed off on Demonstrated Skills Checklist for Mercury, molding and Demolding Technician.
  • Completes LOTO training for specific molding and demolding unit operations and will be certified on motorized lifts and forklifts in the building.
  • Check the daily molding schedule and requirements prepare the area for operation and communicate with Core Supervision for any updates to the work schedule or safety items.
  • Process the assembly blocks, or parts for inputs to the blocks according to engineering specifications, assemble, manipulate, and transfer shell blocks to multiple unit operations throughout the process flow.
  • Adjust machines, set controls, and perform troubleshooting as required by operational and quality criteria. Request work orders for any equipment not operating to standard. Ensure all equipment calibration is current and documented.
  • Other duties may be assigned and cross-training as needed.
