About The Position

Responsible for routine machine operation, following all safety procedures, and ensuring efficient output according to scheduled jobs. Responsible for assembly and packaging according to established rates for scheduled jobs. Requires flexibility on a daily basis throughout each day, to transition from one operation area to another, from one machine to another, as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Basic reading and comprehension skills, and the ability to follow written instructions
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Basic computer skills for data entry and utilizing reports are required
Ability to follow verbal instructions and return communication

Nice To Haves

1 yr. experience with in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Operates manufacturing and production equipment including, but not limited to, automated manufacturing machines, injection mold machines, digital scales, pallet jacks, and packaging equipment (i.e. blister packers, shrink wrappers, cartoners, tapers, etc.)
Sets up repeat jobs that do not require tooling. Loads/unloads machines. Once trained, may be required to make simple adjustments and perform simple maintenance to specific machines.
Assembles and packages products manually as directed and performs at the required productivity standard set for assigned tasks.
Performs quality inspections of own work and the work of the assigned area.
Maintains basic production records including but not limited to quantities produced, inventory, etc.
Assists in maintaining any tools/equipment and materials used for tasks being performed.
Maintains a clean and clutter free work environment.
Notifies Team Lead or Supervisor when service participants require assistance.
When assigned, performs material handling functions in work areas including but not limited to moving raw materials to production areas, transferring finished goods as needed, etc.
Participates in and completes all assigned training; attends all assigned meetings.
Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with dignity and respect.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
