About The Position

The position involves performing assembly and inspection operations within a regulated environment, focusing on quality and production requirements. The incumbent is expected to follow established procedures, participate in team activities for process improvement, and maintain a safe working environment. This role is suitable for individuals who have completed training and are ready to accept cross-training opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent education.
  • 1 year of Greatbatch related work experience and/or 2-4 years light assembly experience in a regulated industry required; medical device experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to recognize defects in workmanship.
  • Demonstrate competency in assembly processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read blueprints preferred.
  • Familiarity with microscopes and measuring devices preferred.
  • Certification for industry-specific assembly requirements such as IPC soldering standards for the Medical device and Military markets.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to GB Core Beliefs, Behavioral Based Safety process and Greatbatch Associate Quality Policy.
  • Sets up equipment needed for assembly/inspection as per Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI's) and Quality Work Instructions (QWI's).
  • Understands own tasks and how they relate to others in their team, working under moderate supervision.
  • Understands overall production flow within their department.
  • Assembles component parts as per print, utilizing both manual and automatic machine operation.
  • Visually and/or dimensionally inspects parts and/or completed assemblies for conformance to specifications, identifying and escalating quality non-conformances.
  • Completes required Device History Records and other manufacturing documentation per Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • May package assemblies for shipping.
  • Participates in team activities focusing on process/product improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Actively participates in 'flex break' programs as required.
  • Expands skill base through on-the-job training, cross-training, and classroom instruction.
  • Performs other functions as required.

Benefits

  • Salary of $20 per hour plus 15% shift differential.
