JOB DETAILS Base Pay: $26.00 to $28 per hour plus $ 1 shift differential 3rd Shift: 11pm-7:30am Monday-Friday DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Extrusion Production Team Lead to manage daily production operations, ensure product quality, support team members, and maintain‑ a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Experience in extrusion or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of leadership experience is a plus.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong communication and coaching skills for a diverse work team
  • Problem-solving through critical thinking ability using structured improvement tools (5 Why, PDCA).
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Gemba walk to assess safety, 5S, equipment readiness, labor needs, and line status.
  • Communicate with outgoing leadership regarding any issues or updates.
  • Review email for important information for the shift kickoff meeting.
  • Lead the daily T1 meeting using the WIT Board (Safety, Quality, Operations, Cost, Teamwork, Opportunities).
  • Complete quality and process audits: stat-trackers, weight-per-foot checks, and QC measurements using calipers and gauges.
  • Monitor Andon lights and respond quickly to quality or operational issues.
  • Approve first-piece parts following standard work guidelines.
  • Manage operator and technician break/lunch schedules.
  • Meet with team members to review NCR (non-conforming product) rejections.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues, coach and train employees.
  • Print production labels as needed.
  • Review and adjust production schedule based on changing needs.
  • Address employee concerns and provide day-to-day support.
  • Participate in continuous improvement using QPS, 5 Why analysis, and PDCA methodology.
  • Ensure all employees follow safety rules and company policies.
  • Conduct full shift handoff with incoming leadership and maintain floor coverage until shift change.
  • Transfer T1 meeting data to charts, logs, and audit records.
  • Complete all required shift paperwork and submit it on time.
