About The Position

The Manufacturing Team Lead at Zebra Technologies is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that work is completed according to plant schedules and standards. This role involves training and mentoring employees, troubleshooting issues, and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in the assigned work area. The Team Lead plays a crucial role in fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in and create a team environment.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to follow and understand written and verbal work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a SME for assigned work area.
  • Trains employees on work process.
  • Acts as an escalation point for novel problems.
  • Demonstrates Zebra's core values consistently and strongly.
  • Is seen as a role model for others.
  • Interacts with members of the manufacturing floor regarding the distribution of work.
  • Assures work is completed according to plant schedules and standards.
  • Monitors daily operations of plant floor and communicates information back to supervisor.
  • Works in conjunction with planning and logistics departments, ensuring products are delivered on time.
  • May represent the shift on project teams and may perform project leadership role of projects with significant scope.
  • Provides leadership in emergency situations, such as evacuations or employee emergencies.
  • Fully knowledgeable of ISO requirements and demonstrated ability to work with associates on procedures.
  • Works with EHS and plant leadership on safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment.
