About The Position

As a Manufacturing Systems Deployment Engineer within the MET team, you will manage a portfolio of vehicle programs to determine and lead the strategy, adoption planning, communication, governance, and deployment of Ford’s digital manufacturing capabilities. You will ultimately manage deployment and training to ensure successful adoption by the manufacturing workforce as you work closely between the engineering requirements and software development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Skilled in Siemens Teamcenter PLM software, including Active WorkSpace (AWC), NX, EasyPlan and/or Process Simulate.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong Project Management skills and results-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry manufacturing/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Software Requirements team and Program Managements teams to define the digital transformation PLM software deployment strategy and adoption plans for each Program Team.
  • Orchestrate the full rollout of digital tools to Vehicle Program engineering and manufacturing sites.
  • Create technical documentation, determine Training needs of Program Team rosters and monitor usage metrics to drive active adoption of the new technology.
  • With a clear understanding of Program Timing, drive/anticipate Program Strategy and Requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery and consumption of tools to Programs through program milestones.
  • Identify risks and collect Lesson Learned from existing program teams.
  • Provide ongoing technical and transformation support of PLM tools to Ford’s global manufacturing implementation teams.
  • Leverage knowledge of digital PLM software tools to act as the bridge between requirements development teams and manufacturing stakeholders, including engineers, plant personnel, and leadership—by clearly articulating software tool process and strategy to each Program team as well as feeding back Program team requirements and gaps to MET development teams.
  • Process and System maps (Strategy vs Reality), Heatmaps of Adoption, KPI framework and Dashboards Track success of consumption of tools.
