Manufacturing Supervisor- 2nd Shift

To oversee, direct and lead the production staff on 2nd shift to achieve production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient operation and producing products to meet AHEADâs established quality standards. Please note our 2nd shift hours are 3:00pm-12:00am CST Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or 3-5 years in an assembly manufacturing environment.
- 1 â 2 yearsâ experience in a supervisor role preferred.
- Ability to manage, train and develop employees.
- Ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience making day to day decisions that affect the overall quality of products and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the production team during 2nd shift operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and production targets are met.
- Oversee all immediate departmental activities and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Work conjointly with other manufacturing supervisor(s) and provide assistance throughout the manufacturing department
- Effectively drive continuous and quality related improvements.
- Actively engage in project management responsibilities and support a wide range of production group projects.
- Resolve employee issues, ensure positive employee relations and promote and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently.
- Analyze and solve problems or assist other team members in finding solutions.
- Reviews production schedules, material and manpower resources and coordinate daily production activities in order to meet business objectives.
- Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules.
- Responsible for achievement of department goals and standards.
- Develops and maintains positive peer and leadership relationship.
- Direct efforts toward the reduction of process variation while ensuring that manufactured products meet quality requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
