MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR Provide production employees with guidance, direction and supervision in support of departmental operations. Promptly address performance issues. Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results. Plan and schedule operations within assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and respond to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner. Maintain well-organized and productive work areas. Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED FOR THE MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR High school diploma required. Two-year college degree preferred. Two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operational environment preferred Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize and make appropriate decisions. Strong problem solving and project management skills. Practical understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practices. Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods. Ability to direct and supervise others, objectively evaluate performance, and train and develop others. Able to work in a production-oriented environment and the ability to work overtime, weekend work and shift work. Willing to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
