About The Position

Standard Nuclear is fueling America’s nuclear renaissance at industrial scale. Our mission is to deliver the essential building blocks of nuclear power—enabling cost-effective, safe, and secure energy for the world. The Manufacturing Supervisor will support the launch and build-out of Standard Nuclear’s new Idaho facility, located at the Central Facilities Area (CFA) of the Idaho National Lab (INL). This role will act as the on-site operational “number two” to the Manufacturing Manager - Idaho, helping coordinate equipment installation, startup activities, and early-stage operational readiness. Following launch, this role will transition into day-to-day production leadership, ensuring safe execution, consistent output, and disciplined operations across the facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically capable, and experienced in manufacturing environments and nuclear environments, with strong instincts for troubleshooting equipment, supporting technicians, and driving a high-accountability production culture.

Requirements

Experience in nuclear workspaces, manufacturing, production operations, equipment commissioning, and/or facility launch environments.
Strong hands-on mechanical and/or instrumentation background (I&C experience is a major plus).
Comfortable troubleshooting systems involving sensors, controls, instrumentation, pneumatic systems, and industrial equipment.
Ability to lead teams on the production floor and hold high standards for safety and performance.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple groups.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift during startup/ramp phases.
Technical degree, trade background, military experience, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Facility Launch & Equipment Installation Support
Support installation, setup, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and supporting systems.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure equipment is installed correctly and ready for operation.
Assist with equipment troubleshooting, startup issues, and readiness verification during early production ramp.
Help establish early production workflows, shift routines, and operational checklists.
Production Leadership & Execution
Supervise day-to-day manufacturing execution and ensure safe, consistent production performance.
Provide direction and support to technicians and operators across assigned equipment areas.
Monitor production throughput, downtime drivers, and operational challenges, escalating issues appropriately.
Lead shift handoffs and ensure production status, risks, and priorities are clearly communicated.
Equipment Operations & Troubleshooting
Support operation of industrial process equipment including high temperature furnaces, gas/liquid delivery systems, compaction or heat treatment equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and assist maintenance/engineering teams in resolving root causes of failures.
Support routine preventive maintenance activities and equipment upkeep.

Assist with documentation, work instructions, training, and readiness reviews.

Cross-Functional Support
Partner with engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and quality teams to support stable operations.
Assist with onboarding and training new site technicians as the workforce scales.
Provide regular operational updates to the Manufacturing Manager - Idaho and help drive accountability across the team.
