The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead the production of transmission housings and accessory covers while supporting a processing department that serves multiple manufacturing lines at Sikorsky. Requirements

  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and be flexible
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Be able to lead a team and manage/resolve employee conflict
  • Good at following and creating procedures
  • Strong Lean manufacturing / process improvement experience
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization
  • Previous supervisor experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office products, SAP, Solumina
  • Successful applicant must be willing to work any shift and overtime.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes preferred
  • Previous supervisor experience in a union environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of non‑exempt, union employees, assigning tasks, monitoring work, and maintaining schedules to ensure efficient workflow and impact on program delivery.
  • Manage daily operations of the manufacturing section, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and cost‑effective production.
  • Guide the development and revision of procedures, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and support a safe, ethical workplace.
  • Drive conflict resolution and employee development, leveraging strong influencing skills to maintain a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance quality and reduce cycle time, shaping efficiencies across the department.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and senior personnel, providing clear communication and updates that influence organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and union requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Facilitate the use of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Solumina tools to streamline data management and reporting, supporting manufacturing analytics.
  • Support shift flexibility and overtime as needed to meet critical production schedules and deliver mission outcomes.
