Requirements

Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required.
Be able to manage multiple priorities and be flexible
Strong influencing skills
Be able to lead a team and manage/resolve employee conflict
Good at following and creating procedures
Strong Lean manufacturing / process improvement experience
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization
Previous supervisor experience required

Nice To Haves

Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office products, SAP, Solumina
Successful applicant must be willing to work any shift and overtime.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes preferred
Previous supervisor experience in a union environment preferred

Responsibilities

Lead a team of non‑exempt, union employees, assigning tasks, monitoring work, and maintaining schedules to ensure efficient workflow and impact on program delivery.
Manage daily operations of the manufacturing section, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and cost‑effective production.
Guide the development and revision of procedures, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and support a safe, ethical workplace.
Drive conflict resolution and employee development, leveraging strong influencing skills to maintain a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
Develop and implement process improvements that enhance quality and reduce cycle time, shaping efficiencies across the department.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and senior personnel, providing clear communication and updates that influence organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and union requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Facilitate the use of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Solumina tools to streamline data management and reporting, supporting manufacturing analytics.
Support shift flexibility and overtime as needed to meet critical production schedules and deliver mission outcomes.
