Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Reading, writing, and math skills at the 12th-grade level
  • Advanced PC skills
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with customers and in a team‑based environment
  • Ability to meet tight and rapidly changing deadlines
  • Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
  • Use close vision for reading documentation
  • Extended use of a computer monitor
  • Safety glasses and steel‑toed shoes required on the manufacturing floor

Responsibilities

  • Develops and motivates manufacturing employees within a designated production area
  • Provides meaningful and timely feedback on employee performance
  • Completes and conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Monitors employee compliance with Attendance Guidelines and counsels as needed
  • Ensures employees are adequately trained for assigned operations and that training is properly documented
  • Takes appropriate corrective action when performance expectations are not met
  • Ensures employees have necessary tools and equipment to perform assigned work
  • Verifies employees are referencing current, authorized documentation
  • Utilizes MES to identify and correct repetitive quality and production issues
  • Retrieves and compiles MES production data as required
  • Reviews system-generated reports to identify and address production, quality, or operational issues
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing area in alignment with 5S standards
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet key operational metrics and achieve organizational goals
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce scrap and monitors MRO expenses; implements corrective actions
  • Provides accurate and complete Pass Down information to the next shift
  • Reviews, edits, and approves employee timecards to ensure employees are paid correctly
  • Completes appropriate forms when making Kronos timecard corrections
  • Monitors employee overtime to ensure compliance with EICC guidelines and adjusts as needed
  • Coordinates with peers when staffing needs require support across different production areas
  • Reviews time-off requests and approves or denies based on staffing and business needs
  • Works safely at all times and follows Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and work practices
  • Complies with all work rules and supports a safe manufacturing environment
