About The Position

We are seeking a results‑driven 3rd shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment within the Finishing Department. This role is responsible for driving excellence in Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Production, and Associate Relations. As a key on‑shift leader, you will ensure operations run to specification, support a culture of safety, develop associates through training and coaching, and maintain consistent communication across shifts and departments. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a 24/7 operation, excels at problem‑solving, and is committed to delivering high‑quality results while building a strong and engaged team. This position is based in Chatsworth, GA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous Leadership experience or Four year College Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Finishing Experience.
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience.
  • Knowledge of Google applications, mainframe (G-Link), Shop Flex, Ez-Entry, Line-up Manager, Contract Manufacturing, Kronos, and TMS3.

Responsibilities

  • Lead your shift of 15-20 associates
  • Must comply with all required Shaw Accident Free Environment (SAFE), and plant specific safety rules and regulations.
  • Know and adhere to general plant and job specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Promote daily stretching activities.
  • Lead First Day Back and Safety/Quality meetings to share plant information.
  • Responsible for quality on shift and works with associates to assure quality performance.
  • Ensure that operation is operating to spec, including line speed, moisture, width, length, and carpet exit temperature.
  • Coordinate quality control testing and processing of trial materials on shift as directed.
  • Understand how to perform weight checks, delamination tests, and tuft bind tests.
  • Communicate off quality to Finishing Department Manager.
  • Identify training deficits and training opportunities for the department.
  • Responsible for completing Shaw Quality System (SQS) training for associates.
  • Coordinate associate efforts in Compounding and Re-inspection.
  • Communicate information from Dept/Personnel manager as needed to associates.
  • Work with other Supervisors to coordinate shift coverage during associates’ absence due to vacation, FMLA, or other absenteeism occurrence.
  • Responsible for coaching and holding associates accountable.
  • Identify maintenance opportunities and complete work orders.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed (arrive at least 30 minutes before and stay after to complete needed tasks).
  • Manage associate Kronos for the shift daily.
  • Complete daily reports related to Quality, Production and Safety.
  • Lead investigations related to Safety, Off Quality or other as needed.
  • Understand the operation of the Tufting and Dyeing Departments, and of Finishing processing as it relates to carpet manufacturing and deliveries to the Finishing Department.
  • Reports to the Finishing Department Manager.
  • Attend required training or meetings as needed.
