About The Position

The Plating Production Supervisor will oversee the plating department in a manufacturing company located in southwest suburban Atlanta. This role is crucial for maintaining safety, production, and quality standards within the plating process. The supervisor will coordinate production planning and scheduling, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical-related field preferred, or relevant experience considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in plating within a manufacturing environment for the Manufacturing Supervisor role.
• Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in plating within a manufacturing environment for the Manufacturing Manager role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Effectively coordinate daily scheduling and personnel utilization.
• Maintain control over the plating chemical process to ensure consistent quality.
• Identify and implement corrective actions to optimize the plating process.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers involved in electroplating, rack stripping, finishing, and inspection of finished products.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of production plating processes, procedures, and control measures.
• Oversee the implementation of corrective actions within the plating process.
• Coordinate and manage all continuous improvement projects.
• Assist in maintaining quality system requirements and standards.
• Ensure proper training, work instructions, and control plans are provided to plating personnel to maintain process parameters and specifications.
• Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
• Ensure thorough training of lab personnel in current analytical techniques and procedures.
