About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor - 3rd Shift. The primary function of this role is to supervise, direct, and coordinate production activities with employees to achieve efficient internal and external customer service expectations. The supervisor will develop and enforce operational procedures and metrics, build organizational capability through development plans and mentoring, and implement continuous improvement strategies through cost-out opportunity projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or any Management related subject.
  • Bilingual, speak and write Spanish and English.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge: human relations skills, electronic/mechanical experience, knowledge of precise measure equipment.
  • Ability to show leadership, sell ideas and make changes.
  • Good at problem solving and decision-making.
  • Good manufacturing practices.
  • Computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Select, train and supervise production employees; evaluate performance to assure adherence to performance standards, taking corrective action as required.
  • Plan and execute the production schedule, providing supervision and direction to Production Team.
  • Allocate resources to ensure minimum downtime and completion of scheduled activities.
  • Oversee, maintain and ensure safety practices in accordance with safe operations and in compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of manufacturing roles.
  • Ensure application and sustainability of company policies, guidelines and procedures within the assigned team.
  • Provide employees with necessary operations supplies to efficiently fulfill their roles and production requirements.
  • Monitor employee attendance/absenteeism and take appropriate action according to company policies.
  • Plan hourly employees vacation schedule minimizing impact on production operation.
  • Recommend changes to improve working conditions, production process/methods, equipment/machines performance to increase efficiency.
  • Participate in departmental and cost-saving team meetings when required.
  • Make necessary adjustments in work procedures, labor force to meet production schedule.
  • Analyze and resolve employee grievances and assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Comply with Fill Rate and On Time Performance objectives.
  • Comply with the Load Plan to avoid back orders.
  • Prepare and report to Human Resources Office any personnel changes or movements.
  • Utilizing Lean six sigma tools recommend changes to improve working conditions, production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency.
  • Responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to MESH Programs and initiatives.
