About The Position

The Manufacturing Supervisor I at AbbVie is responsible for leading and facilitating safe operations in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements while delivering high levels of customer service and product quality. The supervisor will develop their team, manage production schedules, and drive performance improvements, all while fostering a culture of safety and high performance.

Requirements

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering preferred.
• Two years of manufacturing or related experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems such as SAP.
• Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs required; familiarity with documentation in a regulated environment is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Experience working in an aseptic production environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a safety-first environment, driving safety improvements and conducting routine safety checks.
• Effectively deploy team members and delegate tasks to meet production schedules.
• Ensure team members are trained to required standards and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Coordinate shift activities to meet production schedules and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and manage compliance issues that arise during shifts.
• Manage cycle time and change-over time, continuously seeking improvements.
• Develop direct reports through training and assigning challenging tasks.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
