About The Position

Step into a critical leadership-support role as the Manufacturing Suite Point of Contact (POC) for the 2k Asset. You will act as the central controller for the suite, managing the daily operational rhythm to allow leadership to focus on team development and high-level strategy. Requirements

  • Experience: Extensive experience within Lonza Manufacturing Operations, highly preferred at a Level 3 or Senior Associate level.
  • Asset Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of 2k scale manufacturing processes, equipment (bioreactors/purification skids), and relevant software products (Syncade/OT).
  • Education: A relevant Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Decision Making: Proven ability to make unbiased, timely decisions by considering product impact, business risk, and schedule constraints.
  • Proactive Leadership: A self-motivated professional who is proactive in finding and solving potential future problems before they impact the 2k production run.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex messages across shifts and maintain a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Control: Act as the primary "controller" for the 2k production suite, maintaining a total understanding of the schedule and process flow to ensure all resources are staged for right-first-time execution.
  • Asset Liaison: Serve as the primary 2k technical POC for support departments, approving Work Orders for calibration, facilities maintenance, and coordinating QA tag-out activities.
  • Triage & Troubleshooting: Lead the immediate triage response for 2k equipment or process events; attend cross-functional meetings to determine paths forward and communicate plans across all shifts.
  • Schedule Governance: Work cross-functionally with Scheduling and Engineering to identify and plan windows for non-routine activities, validation work, and PMOP tasks specific to the 2k asset.
  • Quality Ownership: Own and drive major investigations (contaminations, CPP failures) within the 2k suite; perform risk assessments and justifications for forward processing while ensuring all eBR reviews and KPIs meet site targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement operational improvements specifically aimed at the 2k scale to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and remove barriers to long-term success.
  • Technical Advocacy: Represent 2k Manufacturing in cross-functional forums, influencing decisions to ensure the best outcome for the process, the asset, and the business.
