Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 months' experience in a machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environment or industry certification
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Proficiency in working with hand tools
  • Familiarity with mechanical products and components
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
  • Attention-to-detail and ability to identify non-conforming parts and investigate quality defects
  • Previous experience reading and interpreting part prints, schematics, and/or blueprints
  • General knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
  • Ability to adhere to safety procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using scanners and inventory system software for parts management
  • Previous experience and/or training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Software
  • Previous experience setting up and troubleshooting Heller and/or Toyoda machining cells

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting all team members with locating parts
  • Disburse all parts removed and/or signed out from crib using inventory system software and tools
  • Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of machine tooling, including specialized and advanced variation tools to conduct precision machining operations
  • Maintain machining processes to specifications
  • Manage the dispositioning of tools sent out and/or received for regrind or repair
  • Handle the delivery and pickup of machine tools utilizing transfer carts
  • Perform process testing to ensure quality control
  • Maintain accurate records related to inventory, quality and defective parts
  • Track items through the designated software system
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematic diagrams
  • Assist with resolution of Continuous Improvement cards and provide process information to supervisors
  • Complete daily 5S, workplace approved organization method, for tool crib and desks by end of shift
  • Ensure a safe and clean workstation environment
  • Perform any other assigned duties
