About The Position

This role reports directly to the Site’s QMS and Productivity Leader and will have responsibility for supporting and executing business growth initiatives, including development and maintenance of the systems and tools that integrate workers, machines, material and information flow, including the integration to ERP systems. The role will lead safety improvements, Lean, Variable Cost Productivity (VCP), Fixed Productivity Cost (FPC) projects and overall manufacturing improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis

  • Previous experience with Manufacturing Cost studies
  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing or operations preferred
  • ERP Experience (SAP)
  • Green Belt Certified
  • Bi-lingual
  • Ability to build relationships within the company at all levels and with customers and suppliers
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and listening skills

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of Planning and Production Routings.
  • Own the maintenance of critical information use to manage day to day production and manufacturing processes (ERP).
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), Transfer of Work (TOW), and ERP Implementation projects.
  • Identify and implement projects improving labor productivity, waste reduction, and cost improvement by analyzing workflows, collecting data, conducting time studies, and supporting process improvements.
  • Develop and implement Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) projects and be accountable for successful completion.
  • Work cross functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Lean to identify and implement projects to have direct impact to Fixed Production Costs (FPC).
  • Collect, analyze, and track productivity and cost data
  • Conduct time studies, work measurement, and basic line balancing
  • Utilize Six Sigma/Lean tools and techniques to drive innovations and improvements.
