About The Position

The Manufacturing Specialist - Gerber Operator position is responsible for removing, labeling, and sorting cut fabric pieces from the automated cutting machine. Be responsible for straightness, fabric repeat issues and other issues related to correct fabric appearance on the finished piece. Be responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economical way. Tagging and separating the cover for distribution to sewing department. Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in fabric cutting for upper end upholstered furniture.
• Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
• Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Team-oriented personality.
• Experience working with the Gerber 2500.
• Experience in Flow Matching.
