Location: Faribault, MN – In Office Your Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision of the manufacturing skills and performance training team for the assigned business unit. Have substantial knowledge in ISO 9001: 2015 QMS and able to conduct first-party, second-party and third-party audits. Effective and efficient maintenance of quality management system (QMS) according to the needs and the requirements of the organization and able to match our QMS to support all the training requirements. Monitor and analyze performance metrics following the ADDIE model of instructional design to improve performance. Design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs to ensure performance improvement. Coordinate and schedule training programs in conjunction with the trainers and operations. Support training within industries structured on the job training (TWI SOJT) programs. Ensure federal and state grant programs are implemented in compliance with grant contracts. Perform continuous improvement projects in skill and knowledge requirements for employees. Perform lean engineering practices and show employees ways to adopt the methodology. Coordinate with engineering, operations and manufacturing to improve job skills knowledge. Review external training requests and providing consultation on content and cost to benefit. Monitor training metrics and feedback loops to evaluate, and measure and share the effectiveness of the program, fully understand the results of the training program, and identify areas for improvements. Perform root cause and corrective and preventive action analysis as needed Your Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Learning, Education, Instructional Design or Engineering 2-4+ years of people leadership experience 5 years in manufacturing; 3 years in a training role Must complete Training within Industry Job Instruction (TWI-JI) within 6 months of hire Possess Instructional Design Certification or complete within 1 year of hire Possess or complete Training Management Certification or complete within 1 year of hire Your Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $132,8000 +10% BIP in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
