About The Position

In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA. Provides advanced operational support and leadership for material handling activities within manufacturing. In addition to executing standard material handling responsibilities, this role leads shift activities, owns investigations and CAPAs, supports document revisions, and serves as a point of contact for issue resolution and escalation.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (preferred)
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Experience leading teams or serving as shift lead
  • Familiarity with Tier 1 / Tiered Accountability meeting structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for escalation and documentation
  • Operational leadership and accountability
  • Quality mindset and investigation ownership
  • Cross-functional communication and influence
  • Attention to detail and execution excellence
  • Supports a 24/7 operation using a 2-2-3 rotating shift schedule
  • Candidates being sourced for this role must be open to working either shift below
  • Day Shift: 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM
  • Night Shift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM
  • The operation runs with 4 rotating shift teams (Teams A, B, C, D)
  • These teams rotate through two fixed 12 hour shifts on a 2 2 3 schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days)

Responsibilities

  • Perform all responsibilities of the Material Handling Associate role
  • Lead daily shift execution, including work assignment, prioritization, and follow-up on action items
  • Own and manage deviations, safety investigations, and safety CAPAs, including documentation and timely closure
  • Provide high-quality issue descriptions and root cause input to support Quality and Safety investigations
  • Revise and support updates to SOPs, work instructions, and controlled documents
  • Serve as a primary contact for inventory discrepancies and escalations
  • Communicate operational status, risks, and priorities to leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Participate in and contribute to Tier 1 meetings, including reporting metrics and action status
  • Coach and support Associate-level team members on best practices and compliance expectations
  • Ensure consistent application of cGMP, safety, and data integrity standards across the shift
