About the position

The Manufacturing Section Leader will be responsible for leading and managing a team of manufacturing associates. They will also be responsible for managing, improving, and reporting out on their section's performance related to production, quality, safety, and recognition. Attend, participate, and deliver in performance metrics review meetings, ensuring accountability of associates. Escalate issues requiring additional resources to manufacturing leadership and track progress to the manufacturing schedule, adjusting labor and staffing levels as necessary. Lead problem-solving/root cause investigations and implement process improvements using the Stryker Production System (SPS) principles. Perform in-process quality checks and communicate quality issues to relevant departments; lead non-conformance investigations through the quality management system. Document all safety incidents and observations in the SAP system and proactively drive improvements in the work environment. Ensure training timeliness and adherence to company policies, managing team performance through regular reviews. Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends, while ensuring team performance aligns with manufacturing goals. Utilize tools like 6S, line balancing, and process waste removal to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6+ years' experience in a Manufacturing cGMP environment or comparable experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous people management experience.
