About The Position
The position involves the operation of various fermentors, which includes tasks such as batching, sterilization, inoculation, monitoring, harvesting, and cleaning. The role requires aseptic handling and testing of bacterial cultures, as well as the preparation of solutions, including acids and bases. Additionally, the candidate will perform protein purification from bacterial sources using chromatographic techniques and operate relevant lab equipment according to standard operating procedures. Recognizing equipment malfunctions and understanding basic routine maintenance is also part of the job. Consistent documentation of work using appropriate data collection tools is essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office platforms such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
