Position Summary Western Partitions Inc (WPI) is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support our Western Advanced Integration assembly facility while ensuring full compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry standards, environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs; conducting risk assessments; partnering with leadership to drive safety initiatives; and fostering a proactive, safety-first culture across the facility.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30-hour certification required.
  • Up to date First Aid/CPR/AED Training
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in safety management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards and Regulations, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management practices., and industrial safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver training to employees.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and root cause investigations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures
  • Skilled in incident and injury reporting, documentation, and follow-up
  • Ability to lead audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Competence in fostering a proactive safety culture across all levels of an organization

Nice To Haves

  • Possess knowledge of safety metrics, including TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) and DART (Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred) rates, to monitor and improve workplace safety performance.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough incident and injury investigations, prepare detailed injury reports, coordinate transportation of injured employees to medical facilities for treatment, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains safety programs to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Improve facility safety statistics by developing proactive initiatives and tracking performance through continuous monitoring.
  • Manage and document all safety incidents, ensuring timely reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new employees and ongoing training for staff.
  • Inspect, evaluate, and report on workplace environments and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCAs) for recordable incidents and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Work cross functionally in support of safety initiatives, best practices and company Policies.
  • Administer and deliver training on equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, gantry cranes, and any other regulatory training requirements or company policy training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for all employees.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, air quality, and chemical handling.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Proactively collaborate with supervisors and managers to integrate safety into daily operations.
  • Attend regular leadership meetings to provide safety updates, share insights, and support informed decision-making on safety initiatives
