The Compression Systems Module Center is looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support AWW operations at the Middletown, CT facility.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or related field and Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or 4 years experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience reading and interpreting blue prints
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or industry related technical degree
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, inspection processes and work instruction creation; CAD experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter, and Solumina

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational engineering/quality support to minimize production downtime and improve cost, delivery, quality and assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigations.
  • Maintain work instructions using applicable technical data such as blue prints, quality assurance documents, Pratt & Whitney America specs etc.
  • Create and maintain shop assist for RRT travelers
  • Complete RCCA for correcting non-conformance in the part families.
  • Create, modify and update work instructions in Solumina; support and assist in TAT (turn around time) reductions, on-time delivery goals and ergonomic improvements
  • Review engineering "hold" items and provide floor support on a daily basis and determine proper course of action; develop new equipment, process and troubleshoot problem operations
  • Be available for off-shift coverage based on business requirements
