About The Position

GE Aerospace operates three cutting-edge manufacturing facilities in the Muskegon area. Our plants are home to high performance teams who are creating quality High Pressure Turbine Nozzles, Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles, and Shrouds for use in commercial and military aircraft engines. The manufacturing processes we use include High Speed Grinding, Brazing / Heat Treat, In-machine deburr, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) such as Conventional, Speed Drills, CNC and Wire as well as Ultrasonic Cleaning and VPA Coating. As the Manufacturing Quality Engineer at our Muskegon, MI site, you will work closely with the Process Engineering team to monitor process capability and process targeting significant process substantiation related to new product definition. You will partner with Supplier Quality Engineers to facilitate supplier quality and maintain customer drawing requirement flow-downs via ballooned drawing creation and electronic Characteristic Accountability quality planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing, quality, and/or relevant working experience)

Responsibilities

  • Quality assurance and quality control ownership, including quality assurance of products, services, and manufacturing processes
  • Ownership of conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
  • Resolve issues using established procedures
  • Consult supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters
  • Collaborate with others to solve issues
