About The Position

Quality Engineer: The Quality Engineer (QE) owns day‑to-day product and process quality at the manufacturing site. Responsibilities include defect prevention, issue containment, continuous improvement, QMS compliance, APQP/PPAP, PFMEA & control plans, RCCA/CAPA, customer complaint management, and supplier quality interface. Requirements

  • Technical school background
  • university degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly
  • 3-5 or more years of experience in technical position
  • Good English
  • Computer literate, specifically the MS Office package
  • Ability to plan activities in short midterm
  • Ability to coordinate people from different departments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks setting the right priority
  • Highly customer focused
  • Problem solving capability
  • Attitude to listen to customers' (internal and external) needs
  • Working in team
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25–40 lbs
  • Regular movement through manufacturing areas, including climbing stairs or ladders
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform visual inspections at various heights

  • Plant QMS Ownership & Compliance
  • Maintain/improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead management reviews & internal audit programs
  • Coordinate ISO certification/surveillance audits
  • Represent plant during customer audits
  • Manufacturing Process Quality
  • Deploy SPC/MSA; implement layered process audits
  • Lead RCCA/CAPA using 8D/5‑Why
  • Own PFMEA & Control Plans
  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Lead APQP deliverables
  • Support PPAP submissions
  • Support test development and qualification
  • Supplier Quality Interface
  • Support supplier process audits and qualification
  • Drive supplier RCCA and verification of effectiveness
  • Customer Quality & Field Performance
  • Lead customer complaint investigations
  • Aggregate Voice of Customer insights
  • Data, Metrics & Reporting
  • Publish monthly KPIs and dashboards
  • Use statistical tools for trend analysis
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects
  • Provide quality training
