About The Position

At JR Metal Works, the Project Designer plays a central role in creating, modifying, and reviewing designs that meet supplier, customer, and stakeholder needs. This position is responsible for creating and reviewing drawings to meet specifications throughout the job cycle. The ideal candidate is hands-on, high attention to detail and organization, knowledgeable in design, and demonstrate a desire to learn and willingness to do whatever is needed to help the team meet goals and finish projects.

Responsibilities

Create and review technical drawings to meet specifications.
Create job travelers.
Perform tolerance analysis on critical assemblies.
Meet with suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders to review/ alter designs as needed.
Modify designs to correct operating and production issues.
Provide installation support.
Attend team meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on colleagues' progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines.
