About The Position

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Thomasville Plant as a Manufacturing Production Technician. Summary The Manufacturing Production Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe work environment while forming, finishing and packaging castable refractory products. This position is a labor position which requires ascending and descending steps, constant movement between locations at ground level throughout the day to ensure flow and quality control of the product. Positions start at $20/hour.

Requirements

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of basic safety/OSHA standards
• Mechanical aptitude

Nice To Haves

• Some manufacturing experience helpful
• Previous forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Attending and participating in daily safety and tier 1 meetings.
• Mixing raw materials for casting forms, providing quality control and finishing the final product.
• Lifting and moving product/objects up to 50 pounds.
• Forming pressed shapes which includes forklift operation and steady manual labor.
• Performing various types of maintenance on equipment
