Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the Advanced Electronics Sub Assembly (AES) Factory. This position has overall leadership overseeing approximately 15-20 operators within a fast paced, manufacturing environment that produces products using cutting edge technologies and automation. The Team Lead ensures that all products meet contractual quality, cost, and schedule requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production to meet or exceed product target unit hour goals. This individual will also be responsible for a safe work environment and will lead and engage in safety improvement projects. This role requires daily interaction with manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office. Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Supervisory/leadership or manufacturing experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in and/or leading a manufacturing environment in a bargaining unit environment in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Experience assigning, managing, and measuring work assignments to completion holding the team accountable for making commitments.
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean / six sigma implementation projects.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and solid people management and use good judgment to resolve conflict.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access) and/or SAP.
