Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Some college preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in leadership position with proven ability to deliver desired results.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to motivate employees.
  • Strong technical, business, and organizational skills.
  • Able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data and react to changes and challenges in the business.
  • Knowledge of molding operations and company procedures.
  • Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Good software skills (Word, Excel, CPRO, WebEFF, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Production Team Members and activities on assigned shift to ensure timely production of quality products in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for achieving safety, quality, and productivity goals on the shift.
  • Supervise production activities and provide direction and support shift.
  • Enforce Company policies, safety standards, quality, GMP's and ISO procedures.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve problems, train, coach and discipline employees.
  • Responsible for accurate production reporting (WebEFF) and timekeeping (Kronos).
  • Drive improvements in production efficiency and MEEF.
  • Direct work assignments and ensure efficient labor utilization.
  • Accept responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Track and direct all parts manufactured as needed for work order.
  • Oversee production rate of skilled labor to monitor workflow, efficiency and quality.
  • Issue corrective action notifications for program areas failing to meet the quality / delivery expectations.
  • Consistently evaluate / document personnel performance as needed.
  • Manage housekeeping of entire production area.
  • Supervise, oversee and direct all mold techs, team leaders, and machine operators in their daily performance of job duties.
  • Recruit and retain all employees assigned to your respective shift.
  • Train new associates, evaluate progress during 90-day probationary period, recommend discharge or retention.
  • Conduct counseling and written warnings, suspensions and discharges for warranted violations of plant rules.
  • Work with Human Resources to review unique situations and termination paperwork.
  • Manage all department employees, including approving or denying vacation requests, time card verification, monitor attendance and complete disciplinary action if necessary.
  • Prepare all accident reports by thoroughly investigating the accident in the event of an injury.
  • Interview all witnesses and ensure the injured employee receives medical treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
