About The Position

This position is responsible for Logistics Process standardization/documentation across all production facilities in North America. The Manufacturing Production Process Engineer III will work from the office at 4747 N Channel Ave, Portland, OR 97217, in a hybrid capacity, requiring the employee to live within a reasonable commuting distance. The role involves up to 25% domestic/international travel per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Logistics Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in Automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Mainframe Focus, SQL, .Net, Microsoft Office, IMS Material Handling screens, and Warehouse Management/Logistics Control System.

Responsibilities

  • Logistics Process standardization/documentation across all production facilities in North America.
  • Knowledge transfer between DTNA Mexico and US plants.
  • Coordinate Logistics Control System deployment activities.
  • Ensure process planning is in alignment with LCS requirements.
  • Foster working relationship between Mexico and US facilities.
  • Implementation and digitalization of critical logistics processes across DTNA production network.
  • Lead the implementation of Logistics Control System (LCS); act as liaison with plant materials department, Corp IT and LCS Software vendor.
  • Coordinate system and equipment design specs as well as Software development for Logistics Processes.
  • Provide project planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting and management of LCS vendor activities.
  • Support the implementation of Lean Material Handling Principles in the Plant by leading workshops and Project Teams.
  • Support the implementation of the TOS Plus Concept and align principles with Plants.
  • Identify and implement benchmark technologies for Material Handling equipment and systems software applications.
  • Coordinate Cross functional team efforts between Manufacturing Engineering, IT, Operational Units, and Centralized Data Operations Analytics Team (CODA).
  • Develop and manage Financial Budgets for Projects and Operating Plan.
  • Coordinate and align projects with Reference Factory principles and Master Site Plan (MSP).
  • Safety and Ergonomic support.
