About The Position

Imagine stepping into a role where you play a vital part in supporting the Large Generator Product Line and Exciter Manufacturing team. As a Production Planner, you will collaborate with shift supervisors to monitor production, align priorities, and adjust forecasts as necessary. You will also synchronize with service sales teams to ensure capacity and availability for Exciter service projects. In your role as a Material Resource Planner, you will maintain component planning data to ensure a committed and achievable supply chain plan, manage stock levels within the Exciter area, and provide essential SAP interface for materials needed in production and service orders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, an associate's degree with 5+ years of direct experience, or a high school diploma with 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and other required testing deemed vital for the role.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of brushless exciter products and manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with scheduling software (MS Projects) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operating results and engage in daily consultations with peers to resolve production challenges, ensuring effective communication across shifts and departments.
  • Identify necessary overtime work and personnel to meet production demands.
  • Evaluate production reports and metrics to make informed decisions that align with both short- and long-term goals.
  • Review performance against shop schedules and lineups to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Advanced Planner to maintain production schedule templates.
  • Monitor material status and ensure timely picking of materials for production staging.
  • Establish lists of material shortages and escalate issues to Project Management and Supply Management teams for resolution.
