Position Details: Location: Rochester, NY Shift: 6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri (overtime possible) Pay: $ 19.00 /hr Duration : Temporary Contract – approximately 3 months. Position Summary: The Product Converting Operator is responsible for converting sheet material into finished product through the use of equipment including laser cutters, ovens, bevelers, packagers, and heat sealers. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to follow standard operating procedures to produce product without defect. This role will work both independently and with a team to create product and fill customer orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HS Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years in manufacturing environment ideally.
  • Good Communication (verbal and written).
  • Experience following written procedures or work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work and effectively manage use of time.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shift on your feet, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP system

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Learn and run multiple manufacturing stations including laser cutter, oven baking, labelling, beveling, edge sealing, X-ray exposure, and packaging.
  • Follow instructions and daily schedules to complete daily production requirements.
  • Fill out paperwork including product tracking, test results, and inspection records.
  • Follow good documentation practices to comply with quality system requirements.
  • Identify and escalate safety, quality, or equipment concerns.
  • Obey all safety rules as outlined in the operating procedure, promote safety improvements.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly, and supplies in the correct 5S locations.
