About The Position

The Manufacturing Production Manager oversees culinary operations for large-scale food production, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves managing daily production activities, staff scheduling, and employee training, as well as supporting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous work experience and education.
• 5+ years of food production experience in a supervisory position required.
• Previous high-volume culinary production, manufacturing, or catering experience is a must.
• English required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• NYC Food Protection Certificate or equivalent is required.
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and manages all aspects of daily production operations in food safety, quality control, and preparation.
• Drives productivity completion rates and actions to successful conclusion on a daily basis.
• Supports new product launches while collaborating with the Sr. Manager, R&D team, and Packaging Manager.
• Manages daily staff schedules in accordance with budget and business needs.
• Resolves employee grievances and concerns, escalating to Sr. Manager when needed, and partners with HR on high-level investigations.
• Identifies, interviews, and trains talent for the department, including coaching and disciplinary functions.
• Ensures compliance with Food Safety, GMP's, HACCP, Safety Compliance, and FD's policies.
• Guides, directs, and motivates staff around performance management and labor planning.
• Acts as a change agent by identifying areas of improvement and implementing new processes.
• Oversees usage and handling of all equipment and machinery used in the department, ensuring safety and reporting issues immediately.
• Supports and participates in various company projects, initiatives, and programs as needed.
