About The Position

Johns Manville is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Production Operators. This role is part of our Pay for Skills program, offering opportunities for growth and advancement through skill progression. The base hourly rate for this position is $24.21. Hours are for Night Shift: 10pm - 6:30am, Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand work instructions and product specs.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages).
  • Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production lines and ensure smooth operation during your shift.
  • Communicate effectively via radio with team members.
  • Perform hands-on tasks such as cutting material, sampling products, moving materials, and operating a forklift.
  • Support housekeeping efforts including emptying trash carts and general clean-up.
  • Assist with equipment start-ups and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Begin learning additional key roles as part of your skills progression (Levels 2–4).
  • Understand and follow finished product specifications.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
