About The Position

The Manufacturing Production Lead II (MPL) is responsible for performing various manufacturing duties as required to ensure the team meets all goals and objectives. An MPL may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. In collaboration with the Production Supervisor, successfully leads a small sub-team to achieve safety, quality, service, and financial goals. Is the first line of defense for troubleshooting including, but not limited to, equipment, quality and process issues. Partners with other Manufacturing Process Leads and/or Production Supervisor to coordinate resources in the area based on production schedule and standards, troubleshooting schedule changes throughout the shift. Training in responsible area and ensure team members are properly trained/certified in all facets of their job. Exposing and documenting problems through the MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) process. Understanding and maintaining MDI Tier I boards and reporting. Responsible for shift hand off and communication with peers Serving as a backup for Process Specialist and leadership as required by Management. Providing real time feedback to employees on business alignment and meeting objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of related manufacturing experience
  • Manufacturing leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree
  • Minimum of 7 year of related manufacturing experience
