About The Position

Scot Forge is an employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications all over the world. We have locations in Spring Grove, IL, Clinton, WI and Franklin Park, IL. We offer various shifts including 2nd shift openings with a 10% shift premium. The shifts include: 7:00 pm - 6:00 am in the Forge Department, 4:00 pm - 4:00 am in the CNC Machine Shop (Mon - Fri or 2/2/3), 1:00 pm - 12:00 am in Maintenance, 3:00 pm - 2:00 am for Machine Repair, and 5:00 pm - 5:00 am for Heat Treat Work (4 days on and 4 days off).

Requirements

• Strong math and computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Hand tools
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Use of micrometer, caliper and tape measure
• Machine set up and operation
• Blueprint reading
• Forklift operation
• Crane rigging and operation
• Prior manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Operating heavy industrial equipment (saws, CNCs, furnaces, presses)
• Operating overhead cranes
• Driving forklifts
• Actively participate in safe work practices
