We are actively seeking passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team. We are looking to add a Manufacturing Process Technician I to our team. As a Process Technician at Cesium Astro, you will be a key team member in ensuring the quality of our products meets our customer's expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-reliability industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical devices. This position will entail a broad scope of vital manufacturing functions. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment and be capable and motivated to fix, repair and maintain a SMT circuit card and electronics final assembly shop. As we are a start-up the expectation is that we all wear many hats, and at times you may be asked to assist in additional duties such as performing cycle counts of inventory, assisting in shipping and receiving functions, or other tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical assembly processes.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools, torque drivers, and measurement devices.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs occasionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interest in aerospace, electronics, or manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in an electronics or mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Basic soldering or wiring experience (J-STD or IPC certifications a plus).
  • Familiarity with ESD and FOD controls.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings or assembly documentation.
  • Exposure to cleanroom, lab, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or other precision manufacturing industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on assembly and integration of electronic and mechanical subassemblies.
  • Assist with soldering, bonding, cabling, and wiring operations under supervision.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, and drawings to ensure accurate builds.
  • Support inspection and verification of components and assemblies.
  • Maintain ESD controls, cleanliness, and organization of work areas.
  • Work with engineers and senior technicians to identify and communicate issues or improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in equipment setup, basic maintenance, and calibration activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with inventory, packaging, or shipping of hardware.
