The Manufacturing Process Operator is responsible for operating grinding, polishing, deburr, and surface-treatment tools, along with pressure washers, grit blasters, pickle tanks, paint equipment, and material-moving equipment such as forklifts and jib/gantry cranes. This role supports production activities across the shop, ensures consistency and quality, and promotes a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of mechanical or electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency using manual, electric, and pneumatic hand tools
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a manufacturing assessment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available now or in the future)
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screen
  • Willingness to work in a tobacco-free environment
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3PM–11PM), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Commitment to wearing PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, protective footwear, and head protection
  • Reliable operator with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Safety-minded with attention to detail and quality
  • Team-oriented with the flexibility to support multiple tasks
  • Eager to grow and contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced industrial environment

Responsibilities

  • Operate a wide variety of production equipment, tools, and shop machinery
  • Use grinding, polishing, and deburring tools to size, blend, and prepare product components
  • Operate pressure washers, grit blasters, pickle tanks, and painting equipment as required
  • Prepare and finish parts for paint processes, including cleaning, masking, and coating application
  • Move materials safely using forklifts, jib/gantry cranes, and other material-handling equipment
  • Measure, verify, and qualify part dimensions using standard measurement tools
  • Maintain ownership of safety, quality, compliance, and productivity standards
  • Participate in team-based problem solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
