The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge Blades (CFB) Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support CFB as Process Manufacturing Engineer for robotic automation processes. Responsible for all aspects of automation processes; standing up new automation processes from the ground up including fixturing, process tryout, work instruction, standard work, and gaining engineering source approval Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio. Provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets. Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace blade forgings Own relentless RCCA for correcting non-conformances resulting from automated processes; maintain work instructions applicable to automation. Look for areas to optimize, automate and trim waste; support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification Develop blade process using statistical methods that meet or exceed the business objective for process control. Assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigation; provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related industrial environment or a Master's degree and 1 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing operations, quality or related industrial environment
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree ( mechanical, electrical, industrial, and manufacturing engineering)
  • Offline and teach pendant programming of Fanuc robots, 2 years robotics and PLC experience
