About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in a manufacturing environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the production of quality products using safe, efficient equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on engineering support for production and project improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Manufacturing department.
  • Document and uphold manufacturing policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Recommend and document procedures for quality standards, repairs, process controls, and inspections.
  • Analyze design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
  • Develop strategies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead capital equipment and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, design engineering, and production.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Implement Automation, Lean and 6 Sigma principles to minimize waste and variation.
  • Design and document tooling using CAD software.
  • Train the operations team.
  • Evaluate and enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Expertise in DFM, DOE, FMEA, and PHA.
  • Manage risks in critical assembly operations.
  • Apply product design knowledge in manufacturing processes.
  • Validate and evaluate manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and instructions.
  • Comply with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and customers to solve product issues.
  • Analyze and address product performance and failure issues.
  • Undertake additional duties as needed.
