The Manufacturing Process Engineer will identify, evaluate, and initiate continuous improvement processes related to Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) functions in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate and work with plant production and support groups to ensure a standard of consistency, accountability, and sound decision-making for production, profitability control, machine maintenance and preventative programs, R&D initiatives, and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to apply lean principles and CNC expertise to improve manufacturing processes and support new product launches.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain CNC programs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods; support first production runs and fine-tune processes as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes, reducing cycle times, increasing throughput, and lowering costs on high-volume parts.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, identify inefficiencies, and work with Engineering and Operations to improve profitability and hit cost targets.
  • Support preventive maintenance efforts to keep equipment reliable and minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on R&D and prototype builds, helping transition new designs into stable, repeatable production.
  • Support ISO 9001, EHS, and quality requirements by maintaining accurate documentation, following standard processes, and participating in audits.
  • Ensure inspection processes, calibrations, and certifications are completed accurately to meet quality and customer requirements.
  • Assist with work instructions, fixtures, RMAs, supplier inspection records, and other production documentation as needed.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with hands-on CNC programming and Lean/continuous improvement experience (or an equivalent mix of education and experience).
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software required.
  • Technical: Comfortable reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and applying basic math and geometry to meet quality and tolerance requirements.
  • People: Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work well with a wide range of teams. Brings integrity, humility, and good judgment to everyday work.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communicator—both written and verbal—with the ability to adjust style for different audiences.
  • Computer: Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiar with CAD/CAM tools, CNC programs, fixtures, and production methods.
  • Analytical: Uses data and KPIs to identify issues, build business cases, and improve efficiency, cost, and lead times.
  • Business Sense: Works independently, handles confidential information responsibly, prioritizes effectively, and pays close attention to detail.
