About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Bosch Charleston is responsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards, including work instructions, control plans, and PFMEA. The role involves planning and executing capital equipment acquisition and installation, which includes initial justification, quotation, approval process, pre-acceptance, final acceptance, and launch management. The engineer will identify and lead projects aimed at improving safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet policy deployment objectives. Daily management of the process area using performance data to support production, meet targets, and derive measures for continuous improvement is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the engineer will develop, maintain, and apply lean manufacturing principles throughout the value stream concerning equipment design, selection, layouts, and material flow. Contributing to an engaged team environment and actively supporting the manufacturing team effort is essential.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Highly organized self-starter with good judgment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Technical detail-oriented.
