Your impact Keep production moving: Own hands-on troubleshooting (≈80% of your time) across four automated assembly lines and allied injection molding and metal-processing automation. Turn fixes into projects: Convert insights from the floor into data-driven improvements and capital proposals (≈20%). Elevate process capability: Perform capability studies and close gaps. Engineer quality in: Contribute to FMEA, APQP, and Control Plan activities. Commission with confidence: Lead complex equipment and process commissioning/acceptance. Standardize and document: Define parameters and create/update work instructions. Design smarter systems: Develop automation concepts; coordinate with Industrial Engineering for new launches. Validate feasibility: Analyze machine/electrical design and select/modify components. Optimize costs and safety: Identify savings, improve safety, and drive DOE-backed improvements. Solve for root cause: Lead 8D, tackle complex alarms, and implement corrective actions for complaints. Sustain uptime: Plan spares, maintain maintenance histories, and share knowledge in SharePoint. Develop people: Train colleagues, prepare training materials, and mentor interns/bachelor students. Champion standards: Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, safety, and company/BU guidelines. Partner with Quality: Verify process parameters and monitor quality devices. Flex when needed: On-call support as required; assist beyond BU when complex issues arise.

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering with 3+ years experience, or Associate’s with 5+ years experience.
  • Siemens PLC expertise in STL; strong PLC troubleshooting/programming skills.
  • Robot programming/teaching: Motoman Yaskawa and KUKA.
  • CAD proficiency (CREO preferred); understanding of servo drives.
  • Hands-on integration of automation components.
  • Electrical troubleshooting across 24V DC, 110V AC, 230V AC, 400V AC, and 480V AC systems.
