Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 2 or more years' experience in a manufacturing operations environment or a Master's degree and 1 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Hold a current U.S government issued Secret Clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in one or more of the following processes: Thermal Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Brazing or Chemical Cleaning processes.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • CORE/Six Sigma Practitioner/professional certification.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement concepts: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.
  • Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
  • SAP experience.
  • Ability to program Fanuc robots.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of MRL elements to drive process control to improve quality and delivery.
  • Responsible for specific processes or process family MRL advancement through execution of MRL elements such as PFMEA, MEA and control plans.
  • Provide production support across multiple manufacturing processes including Thermal Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment and/or Brazing.
  • Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple operations that may span the full value stream of part.
  • Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs/escapes and reduce overall product costs.
  • Work within Integrated Product Teams (IPT) with product and tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Use statistical analysis tools to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Measurement Systems Analysis & Process Yields monitoring.
  • Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE initiatives.
