About The Position

Position at FloForm Countertops Manufacturing Plant Manager Location: Boise, ID With 16 branches and five manufacturing facilities across the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, FLOFORM Countertops manufactures, sells, and installs more than 20,000 premium surface countertops annually . Due to continued growth, our Boise, ID branch is seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Manager to lead our production operations. Position Summary The Manufacturing Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, leading and developing staff, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement to meet operational and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of production management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (building materials, home fixtures, furniture, or similar industries preferred)
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and develop employees
  • Comfortable handling challenging situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of operating specialized tools and machinery
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise production staff and daily plant operations
  • Ensure efficient and effective systems, policies, and procedures are in place
  • Review and manage the master production schedule, adjusting priorities as needed
  • Drive departmental goals, objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Branch Administrator to ensure material availability
  • Conduct interviews, hire staff, and manage employee performance as required
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and workplace safety
  • Lead departmental meetings and promote open communication
  • Act as a role model and advocate for safe work practices and PPE compliance
  • Manage ordering and inventory for shop supplies, including month-end inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned
